A caterpillar goes for a walk accompanied by three interlopers who have promised to behave. Ending up in a zoo accidentally, they find that nothing is as it seems… There are 14 different animals (23 total) to identify, find and count as the story unfolds. Children are given four scenarios to solve what mystery animal is encountered during this adventure. The story and illustrations appeal to babies, young children, and early readers.
